After months thinking about taking driving lessons, I finally determine to take it this time. Few days after hubby left for work, I called the Driving Lesson Center in Nusa Loka BSD called Juliana Jaya. You can find information about it on their site http://jj-stir-mobil.juplo.com

Package A is Rp. 150.000/package
Package B is Rp. 200.000/Package
Package C is Rp. 300.000/Package.

Don't forget to give your instructor some tips in each lesson. You have to give them at least Rp. 15.000/lesson for a tip money.

I take 10 meetings driving lesson and I also pay extra for them to picking me up and dropping me off at home.

As usual, before doing anything, I always do my best to be well prepared. I tried to spend some times reading about driving cars and watching youtube, but with very active baby in hand, I didn't get the chance to do it as much as I want. But at least, I know what I can expect from each lesson.

I recommend you to watch this youtube video from Learning Driving Center http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ftY9yka9rc Their videos really help me to understand few basic skills of driving manual cars. It really makes me more confident after watching the video and I know in heart that I can do this.

When the instructor arrives to pick me up, I feel really nervous. I thought I was ready for this, but I wasn't. But there's no turning back now. I have to do this. So I take a deep breath and open the car and he told me to sit and he starts explaining about accelerator, brake and clutch.

I adjust the seat position, put my seat belt on and start the car. I press the clutch with my left foot, change the gear, and off we go. A bit nervous when I have to maneuver the car between two cars which park in both sides of the road, but to my surprise I did it very well. But then I was panic when I was about to turn left. I stopped the car just to calm my nerve down. The instructor was nice enough to assure me that I can do this. I just need to take my time. After getting a bit of reassurance from him, I start the car again. I learned a bit about the trick to do the turning. I haven't master it yet. been having a problem with the clutch every time I try to turn left or right. Don't know what happen but the car always stops every time I try to turn. Luckily, my car is the automatic one so I will not have a problem with the clutch. So happy.

So for the first lesson, I learn about moving forward, turning and stop. The instructor said that I did it very well on first day. Offer me to go to the main road for next meeting but I don't feel comfortable about it yet. I just want to feel confident first before heading off to busy road. Once I am sure that I can maneuver the car well, then I will be a lot more comfortable about driving it to the main road. Finger Crossed that in third lesson, I will be able to drive it outside the compound. I cannot wait.
